Aiers strategy development in global stage (not proper, please create one)

The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze the process of internationalization of a Chinese company Haier Group s different strategies in each different stage (local brand, diversification and internationalization) by comparing strategic theories so that to evaluate how they applied theories, which models they applied and how different with traditional theories as a Chinese company in global stage. Did they do well? bad?
This dissertation will focus little more on the third stage international strategy. Study the theories of international strategy, and take the strategy adoption and implementation of Haier Group as a case to see the similarity and differences of theories and practical strategy Haier applied.
The reason to attract me is that these days there are lots of Chinese company emerge in foreign countries, Haier is typical and successful case among those. It is useful for other Chinese companies to be success out broad, and also useful for other countries company to think about strategies facing this. Some of its strategies could indicate common stuff for Chinese company applied, some of its strategy is according to its own situation and own case. However, this is a company analysis, so not for the big topic general Chinese companies situation.

The Uppsala Internationalization Model (U Model), The Innovation-Related Internationalization Model (I-Model) might be applied. Some other theories should be applied as well.
New finding: according to those new theories which released in 2004 and 2005 in Journal such as Journal of international studies. How to apply in Haier s case? Is Haier s case corresponding to new theory? Same? Different? Why? Analyse it and have own opinion. [reading materials are provided]
The challenge of theories would be one part.
Therefore to analysis (this is just a suggestion, wouldn t be exactly according, but a general idea):
 why many companies going abroad? Why Haier do that?
> Haier s growth [local brand, diversification/exporting, internationalisation]: different strategies in different stages. To see if Haier is using the right strategy in each stage, proper? improper? challenge with theories?; and Haier s strategy development
> [focusing more on international strategies] Haier s international strategies analysis: different strategies in different foreign countries. (how they deal with culture difference); acquisition.; & .
> (important and big part)If same between theories and practice, & .
If it s different between theory and practice, is the theory out of date? or other reasons?
 and what s the future strategy they are tending to adopt? Good or bad?
> What s their opportunities and threaten of Haier Group?
opportunities: EG: bidding on Maytag
 suggestion or comment with this case

In conclusion, the most important part would be the analysis of theory and company real case, making comparison and obtain the outcome, either challenge of theories, or proving some theories, or new theories outcome& Own opinion should be made much.
Lots of relevant information and references are provided, could be based on those readings. Still, some other useful readings are necessary, e.g. books references (better close to the common/academic books which is easily get from university library).
For the journal references, if researcher can find these journals, that would be perfect; if researcher does not have, I will send them to you [this would be useful and important materials for my dissertation on theory part].

I still got two relevant dissertations on Haier s strategy development. If need, please tell me email address to send them to you.
For writing style, not specific, but if possible, most reference to the book of Research Method for business students by Mark Saunders, Philip Lewis and Adrian Thornhill, 3rd ed. Prentice Hall.[but not necessary]
This is an international student with MSC management course (with medium writing skills), so the level of dissertation would be considered due to this. It does not need to be as high as possible, just hope to be appropriate in 2:1 degree.
Hope this is useful and clear for researcher, if have any future question, please email me. I would be happy to respond you as soon as I can.
Thank you!
