Atalytic Asymmetric Crotylation of Aldehydes and Ketones

Power point presentation:

please include text for oral presentation.

crotylation of aldehydes and ketones using:
a) Brown crotylboranes
b) Roush crotylboronates
c) Crotylsilanes

1) introduction: What is crotylation, uses etc.

2) description (with some picture would be good) : Talk about their reactions, reagents synthesis, re-activities diastereoselectivity and their advantages/disadvantages, etc. Also To mention and explain that they are all Type I reagents (Denmark & Weber, 1983).briefly talk about other types of reagents/catalysts that have been developed which can overcome/improve the problem arises by using these(a,b,c) on crotylation.

a listed of literature sources that can be used and some of their documents will be uploaded or you could use other online resources.

Atalytic Asymmetric Crotylation of Aldehydes and Ketones

Use the scientific literature to prepare a review which summarizes and collates the published work in a particular discipline of chemistry.
My supervisor has assigned me with this specific topic, there is no restriction on the number of scientific journal use as long as it is relatively new and covers the topic, the supervisor has advised me to use this literature: Chem. Eur. J. 2015, 21, 1-6 (Catalytic Asymmetric Crotylation of Aldehydes: Application in total synthesis of (-)-Elisabethadione) ;
And some other recent overviews literature:

a) S.E. Denmark, J. Fu, Chem. Rev. 2003, 103, 2763-2794 (Catalytic Enantioselective Addition of Allylic Organometallic Reagents to
Aldehydes and Ketones) ;

b) J. W. J. Kennedy, D. G. Hall, Angew. Chem. Lnt. Ed. 2003, 42, 4732-4739 (Recent Advances in the Activation of Boron and SiliconReagents for Stereocontrolled Allylation Reactions) ;

c) M. Yus, J. C. Gonzalez-Gomez, F. Foubelo, Chem. Rev. 2011, 111, 7774-7854 (Catalytic Enantioselective Allylation of Carbonyl Compounds and Imines) ;

d) Chem. Eur. J. 2009, 15, 1570-1573 (Enantioselective and Catalytic Method for alpha-Crotylation of Aldehydes with a Kinetic Self-Refinement of Stereochemistry)

Assessment Criteria For Dissertation:
It should have enough relevant modern references.
It should cover the topic
It should survey and review field rather than just catalogue information.
It is well presented, laid out in sections, subdivided (Introduction, discussion, conclusion, bibliography)
References presented accurately, in appropriate, consistent style
Correct spelling and grammar
