my paper subject is CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION.
This assignment is intended to broaden your knowledge of the techniques utilized in conducting criminal investigations, as well as introducing the student to the fundamentals of doing scholarly research.
The body of the paper should be approximately five to seven pages, typed, double-spaced, 1i?? margins, and be stapled in the upper left-hand corner. The paper must be annotated using the APA style and must include a i??Bibliographyi?? page. The paper is due on March 18, 2015. Papers submitted late will be penalized, two points per day.
A research paper should have a clearly defined thesis. The sources used in support of the thesis should be properly documented. In the body of the paper, you should discuss the reliability and/or biases of the sources; why you believe the sources you have chosen should be accepted over sources that dispute your position. The conclusion should be logical. It should summarize and reinforce the main points of your argument without being unnecessarily repetitive. Take a position (for or against) and where appropriate speculate about the future of your subject.
Although the paper is relatively short, it requires a good deal of thought and effort on your part. Your work must be derived from at least four (4) sources, not including the textbook. The paper must be written in a clear and concise manner. It is expected that your research will be from scholarly publications that have examined the issue empirically. Anecdotal information can be used to make a point but should not be relied on exclusively to form your conclusion.
DO NOT hand in a rough draft or hand-written document; all submitted material should be PROOFREAD and be free of spelling, typographical, and grammatical errors. If you submit, a paper that suggests you doni??t care you can expect to receive a grade that reflects a comparable level of commitment.
