Compare and contrast / choose two public policy areas.
Choose two public policy areas or issues that seem to reflect different concepts of policy and different methods of decision-making. The areas/issues can be chosen either broadly or more specifically-e.g. at the broad level, trade, housing, welfare, education or health policy in different jurisdiction, or at the specific level, issues surrounding the impact of free-trade policy in particular economic sectors, social inclusion policy and its impact on different policy arenas, or questions of payment and fees for higher education in different countries.
Compare and contrast policymaking approaches and consider the factors underlying the differences between the two areas or issues you have chosen. In doing so, discuss which public policy concepts, models or methods appear to best explain and account for the differences in the policies and the decision-making reflected in the policies.
