Essay 2: A Compare-Contrast Essay between a?Adventures of Tom Sawyer, A Tramp Abroad, and Life on the Mississippia?
In weeks three and four, we have been reading some of Twainas most recognized works: Adventures of HTom Sawyer, A Tramp Abroad, and Life on the Mississippi. Each of these was written with a specific purpose in mind, and each of these novels offers similarities yet contrasts as well. Take TWO (only!) of these three works and select a character, plot, use of imagery, use of language, point of view, OR theme and compare or contrast one to the other. You ARE expected to use quotes from both novels, as well as TWO (no more) outside research sources; these research sources must include proper APA in-text citations and a References page.

1. LENGTH: For this assignment, you will write a compare-contrast essay. The essay will be approximately six pages in length with a word total of 1000 words. (What EXACTLY does a?1000 wordsa? mean? No less than 950 words and no more than 1110 words a remember: learning how to write within a specific word count is crucial to becoming a lean, to-the-point writer!) This length does NOT include the title page or References page, which you must have (in APA format).
