Compare Ode to a Nightingaleand A Draught of Sunshineby John Keats
Your final paper will be a comparison paper; that is, you are to compare two (or, if you wish, more) different works, showing similarities and differences. They may be two works of the same genre (story/story, poem/poem, drama/drama) or of different genres (e.g. story/poem). Be sure to find two works that have enough in common (e.g. a common theme) that you will be able to get a substantial paper out of comparing them. You may compare any two works we have read this semester, any two in the textbook, or even draw from outside the textbook, if you wish. However, you must get the professoras approval for your topic, especially if using one or more works not dealt with in class during the semester.
