A comparison of the tablet and laptop systems in university use. Which is likely to be more popular in the future?

General overview of topic area:
Laptops are usually operated by a battery small enough to be put everywhere, having a screen that closes on the keyboard (Dictionary, 2015).The first laptop computer was invented in 1982 (James, n.d). What is more, in 1988 the Compaq computer company invent the first laptop with VGA (Inventors, 2015). The Laptops computer were invented because they can download many programs into one small computer that is also handy (Christy, 2015). Moreover, it is give the facility to carry the computer to your work place (Christy, 2015). In addition, there are many kind of operating system for laptops and people can choose what is useful for them for example Windows, DOS, MAC, UNIX, Linux and Netware (Uwf, n.d).
The tablet is usually battery powered and smaller than laptop but bigger that smartphone, having touchscreen and without a keyboard (Search mobile computing, 2015). What is more, the first tablet was invented in 1989 but most of the people ignore it because it was heavy and expensive (Bort, 2013). However, in 2010 Apple invented the iPad and it was successful (Bort, 2013). There are many different kind of operating system for the tablet for example Apple IOS, Google Android, Microsoft Windows and Amazon Fire OS (Ben, 2014). This research project aims to find the advantages of the laptop and tablet. It will look at the disadvantages of the laptop and tablet. It will also aim to find out, which is more effective than the other in university use.

Research Questions:
1- What are the advantages and disadvantages of laptops in university use?
2- What are the advantages and disadvantages of tablets in university use?
3- Which one can be seen to be more effective than the other in university use?

Hypothesis:
Tablet is likely to become the more widely used than laptop.
