Contextual essay: influences in the writers life that influence their writing style

Contextual Essay of at least 4 full pages (not counting Works Cited) in which you examine forces from
outside a text that influence its creation, consumption, and/or meaning, such as the authori??s life, the
historical or sociopolitical landscape at the time of texti??s creation, the literary tradition the text participates
in or breaks, or the influence of a social movement, or some facet of the authori??s identity (to name but a few
possibilities). You will be required to research and cite at least 2 scholarly sources (accessed through a
college library not web sources) that discuss the text you are analyzing and/or the surrounding historical
or social context.
