Critical analysis of the differentiation strategy

Marketing theory and concepts underpin much in the way of organisational behaviour and have shaped many views of academics, journalists, researchers and practitioners in marketing and business. Of course, theory and practice is not without its criticism and there are many differing views on the best approach to take given the organisation, its culture and the sector in which marketing, as a function, operates. The assignment requires you to compare, contrast and write a critical evaluation of the differentiation marketing concept versus actual marketing practices and their respective applications to a couple of examples (product or brand) of your choice. Absolute clarity of understanding and explanation of the approaches would be required thus showing conceptual understanding and knowledge.
