Ebate since 9/11 about presidential power

A debate has been brewing since 9/11 about presidential power. Some scholars argue that in a time of war, the president needs to be the dominant branch of the U.S. government. Others argue that if the executive becomes too strong, he will become tyrannical and abusive. Much of this debate is, of course, focusing on the actions of the Bush Administration.
