This paper will be focused on General Louis-Joseph de Montcalm and the military tactics which he employed during the French and Indian War.

The thesis statement is as follows; General Louis Joseph de Montcalm displayed far superior tactical knowledge over his British enemies which allowed him to defeat British troops in numerous engagements during the French and Indian War.
