Eritage in the USA: a case study of impact assessment and management in Utah”

Discuss the issue in an essay of 2000 words, incorporating a critical review of the literature and summarising the different views in a united piece of work drawing your own conclusions. Normally this will involve reading 15-20 articles/books/reports on the topic. No more and no less. Some indication should be given of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the different points of view, and what aspects of the issue remain unclear.

Relevant illustrations/diagrams must be used to help to explain key themes, and where appropriate case-study should be used to further exemplify the issue being discussed.

Key elements of the essay must include:

1. Table of contents should give a good/clear overview of the essay. Use bullet points.

2. Core of the essay (central paragraphs): the core of the essay must be carefully and logically constructed either around themes in the literature or to specific arguments. This section must include a critical review of previously published material and issues which you are exploring (i.e the title of this essay). Your critical analysis or critique of the topic and literature should lead logically through the paragraphs and progressively demonstrate, explore and contribute to the analysis of the issue being considered. The aim is to drive the reader logically to your conclusions (sub-headings or sub-sections are permissible).

Conclusion:

The conclusion must drive home the central points of the essay and remind the reader of the key arguments which lead to the conclusion. This is not the place to introduce new information, but rather to draw conclusions from what you have already written. This section must provide an answer to any questions posed in the introduction.
