Developmental Psychology (Kohlberg) Moral Dilemma

i) Use the following dilemma: The emperor Nero heavily persecuted first-century Christians. He mandated that any person caught practicing Christianity would be thrown to the lions at Circus Maximus. Nevertheless, many Christians continued to meet in homes and practice their faith in secret. Question: Were these Christians making the right choice? Why or why not?

ii) Construct a matrix that corresponds to the six stages of Kohlbergs theory of moral dilemma, and for each stage, justify your rationale as to why these Christians were making the right choice, and why they were making the wrong choice. Make sure you include both an affirmative and negative response to each of the six stages.

NUMBER 2 Assignment:
c) Journal Reflection

i) Each week, students are required to submit a journal entry of 150-200 words, answering a particular question. APA format is mandatory.

ii) Topic: Elkind maintains that there are three components of adolescent egocentrism: 1) imaginary audience, 2) personal fable, and 3) foundling fantasy. Create 3 short case studies in which you profile one each of the three components.
