Inancial Services: The Commercial Environment

Since 1997 UK Monetary policy has been delivered in large part by the actions and decisions of the monetary policy committee of the Bank of England. Consistent, predictable and transparent policy has been the hallmark of the decisions made in pursuit of a low and stable inflation target. The Financial Services Industry plays a large part in the transmission of monetary policy decisions and, by association, in the relative success of the policy over the last 10 years.
The coursework focuses on the part that the Financial Services Industry plays in the transmission of monetary policy and the assistance that it can give in the pursuit of the key government aim of low and stable inflation.
