GUIDELINES FOR CHEMISTRY ASSIGNMENT a RESEARCH ESSAY

1. AIM

The aim of this exercise is to develop your research skills by producing an essay on one particular aspect of Chemistry.

The topics to choose from (see below) have been selected to assist your understanding of the material presented in the course. Alternatively you may choose a topic of your own which could be a a?critiquea? of a recent chemical issue, chemical discovery or a revolutionary product of technology in the media i.e. newspaper article, magazine article, radio bulletin or television report.

All topics are subject to approval by your teacher.


2. KEY REQUIREMENTS

Each student selects a different topic.

The essay is to be 750 1000 words long and include formulas, equations, diagrams, tables, graphs.

Essays have to be submitted to Your teacher will give you the Class ID and password. Maximum similarity 25%

Completion of this exercise is a prerequisite for attaining the Certificate IV in University Preparation for Chemistry.
