The purpose of this coursework is to assess your appreciation of how GIS can be used to promote sustainable environmental management. To complete this assessment you need to show understanding and awareness of what GIS is and its use in environmental management, showing evidence of reading from academic journals. You are advised to explain what GIS is and then focus on an area of your choice to give further examples. (this area chosen could relate to your degree).
