Isturbances in Clotting of the Intensive Care Polytrauma Patient

Introduction
Polytrauma patient in car collision with driver dead on scene. Sustained multiple fractures and was immobilised for HEMs transfer to major trauma center.
Appraisal of effective major trauma assessment including primary, secondary and tertiary surveys and decision making tree, ISS, ASIA and MiST.
Problem to highlight is splenic rupture with massive blood loss.
Justify and evaluate evidence based treatment strategies including FAST scan, TEG, Code Red blood transfusion resulting in unusual antibodies on subsequent group and save for subsequent blood transfusion, Role of Tranxemic Acid and Deranged Lactate, Calcium and Potassium levels.
Critical reflection and evaluation of the major trauma services provided and solution for improvement.
