Lassroom Management: Setting Expectations

Given:

School or classroom standards for behavior help create educational expectations and are designed to provide a positive learning environment while promoting the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students.

Task:

A. For your area of specialization (PreK-8):
1. Briefly describe two behavioral expectations for two in-class activities (see examples below).
2. For your two selected activities, describe a procedure for implementing one of your behavioral expectations.

PreK-8 Activities
In-Class Activities:
” Use of learning centers and/or computer stations

Out-of-Class Activities:
” Playground time and/or recess
” Leaving the classroom as a group for the library, cafeteria, or specialty class
