Lexander Wendt claims that anarchy is what states make of it. Evaluate the validity of this claim. Do you agree with it?

First of all, the module you are writing the essay on is called Theories of International Relations, therefore it is VITAL that when writing the piece you discuss theories of IR like realism, liberalism, Marxism, constructivism etc. applying it to the essay topic of course e.g. how would realists have treated the issue&

Secondly, it is very important to note that this is not an undergraduate essay but an answer to an exam question (!). It does not differ much from short essay in terms of technique. The document How to write a good essay is essential and should be followed as much as possible. What the examiner will want to see in a first class essay: focused introduction with definitions which apply (if needed) and plan for the rest of the essay; very well structured body of the essay showing knowledge of the topic and mentioning all key people/thinkers/theorists (generally, keep it clear and simple), they want to see an original but well supported argument; thought through conclusion which would sum up what has been argued in the essay and end with an interesting point.

An examiner wants to see excellent knowledge of required sources (which should be chosen from the ones I have provided in one of the attachments), critical thinking and critical analysis etc (see the assessment sheet attachment).

Please, it is very important that you read all attachments. They contain the required bibliography and assessment criteria written by the module tutor. It is crucial that you use the texts from the attachments as the essay will be assessed on the authors knowledge of these sources.

This essay will be marked by tutors teaching at UKs top 5 Universities so please do not let me down. I wish you the best of luck with this assessment. Thank you.
Please, reference your sources in brackets in the text e.g. & (Adam, 2002, p. 12) and use bibliography at the end of the essay.
