The theme of our research is a?Angiogenesis in malignanciesa? and we are concentrating on little regulators in that event. Each group is going to work on their own selected genes and/or regulators which are mentioned below. I have also presented here a little background about what we are about to address and achieve with your literature review project.

A major necessity for the growth of normal and neoplastic tissues is the establishment of a vascular supply, the process of which is termed angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is an essential process for tumor growth by providing abundant oxygen and nutrients to the neoplasm and making a channel for tumor invasion and metastasis. There are numerous inhibitor and promoter genes which modulate the angiogenic switch of tumor initiation and progression. However the precise genes involved and the mechanism of this angiogenic switch are only partially understood. It is believed that the key genes involved in the angiogenic switch are different for each tumour type. Better understanding of the angiogenic processes involved in each tumor type is needed for future development of effective tumor-specific anti-angiogenic therapy.

The functional role of Angiogeninin the context of cancer has not been yet addressed to any serious extent. Thus, this research is intended to build on previous results to more closely examine the regulatory role of these genes in normal physiological angiogenic situation as well as in cancer angiogenesis and the progression of the disease

For the information you are collecting and providing in your paper, unless it is about the history of the discovery of that gene, your reference need to be recent. Try to search firstly those papers closer to 2013 instead of 1985!

Remember to address what have been done so far about it (Manipulation, Therapeutics, Clinical Trials etc.)

A conclusion should propose future direction, potential and perspective on future of the nominated genes.
