Ntigone Sophocles: Antigones fear( or the lack of it) and a stand against the human law: Right or Wrong?
When it comes to the concept of fear in this topic i am trying to capture the idea that all human laws are, in one way or another, based on fear of the consequences of breaking this law. Antigone lacked the fear of the possible consequences coming from standing against Creons law and therefore was able to follow actions that were to her moral/ethical, laws to her more important than human laws. Was Antigone right or wrong with her actions of putting her morality above the law of the King? What could have been done to avoid all unfortunate outcomes of the fight between the two?
Again: this is a reaction paper for ethics (philosophy)class, and is suppposed to be based mainly on quotations from the Antigone itself, other sources are welcome, but not required.
