In relation to goal setting as an enablement tool, discuss an aspect of actual patient care that could be enhanced by the application of this element of an enabling framework.

 Underpin principles of enablement identified to local and national initiatives
 Identify area of clinical practice but maintain confidentiality of the placement and patient / client and staff. Ensure that no clinical documentation is included
 Identify and define the chosen element
 Briefly describe your involvement in relation to this aspect of care
 Explain how the element of patient / client care in underpinned by principles of enablement
 With reference to pertinent literature, evaluate the effectiveness of enablement as a concept within the clinical practice setting
 Conclusion  summarise the key points raised in the preceding text
 It is recommended that relevant literature is drawn upon throughout the essay to support discussion points
