Omestic Terrorism (White Aryan Resistance WAR)
As this is an upper-division course, you will be required to write a term paper. The length of the paper should be at least 2000 words (approximately 8 typed, double-spaced pages), not including the reference page.
The topic of the term paper can be anything of interest to you (which gives you great latitude), provided that a strong connection can be made to the subject, topic and themes of this class -domestic terrorism.
As this is a domestic terrorism course, you are prohibited from writing a research paper related in any way to international terrorism. If you are either unsure about the appropriateness of a possible topic, or you need topic ideas, please contact the instructor for assistance.
Note: Your paper cannot be one you have previously submitted for another course.
The paper should include at least seven (7) citations from books, scholarly journals, and government documents and reports. Internet web-page citations are permitted, but do not count toward the seven.
Be advised that the problem with Internet sources, where an original source is not cited, is that anyone can say or represent anything; in other words, there are no internet controls to ensure that the information presented is viable.
You are prohibited from using Wikipedia. It is a user-controlled site where entries can be changed by anyone. Thus, Wikipedia is very unreliable. Numerous factual inconsistencies and flat out erroneous information have been found on Wikipedia.
Be advised, however, that scholarly articles and documents (primary sources) which you obtained by downloading them from the internet are acceptable toward the seven citations. In such cases, the internet is simply serving as a library for you to access independently existing resources. Those documents and articles can be cited for what they are with no mention that you obtained them using the internet.
You are also required to post an outline and synopsis of your paper, including a brief summary of any conclusion(s) you reach. Place your synopsis in the appropriately marked discussion thread. This posting should be at least 2 full paragraphs in length. Provide sufficient detail necessary to spark a conversation on your topic. As with the other Discussion Board assignments, you are also expected to post a reaction to your classmates postings.
The posting of your outline/synopsis and your secondary postings in reaction to others is worth 10% of your term paper grade. You must post your paper synopsis at the start of the module not on the last day of the module. Posting last minute prevents appropriate conversation on your research topic, which is worth 10% of your term paper grade.
Be sure to submit your project in one WORD document in APA format, and place it in the appropriate assignment dropbox
