Omparison of three ancient law codes -burgundian law code analysis

Write a 2-3 page paper that compares the Burgundian law code with Hammurabi s and the Roman code of the Twelve Tables. First, you MUST interrogate the Burgundian code with Katharine Lualdi s questions in the introduction to Sources of the Making of the West. if you arent able to get that book, the questions are as follows: Who wrote this document, when and where? What type of document is this? Who is the intended audience of this document? What are the main points of this document? Why was this document written? What does this document reveal about the particular society and period in question?

Then, notice what this code protects, fosters, forbids. How does it deal with questions of gender and class? What is the meaning of the term the rule of law ? It is a given of Western Civilization that living under the rule of law is a superior way to live. Why? Can people be treated unequally or unfairly under the rule of law?

Be sure that after EVERY thought you take from Lualdi, you cite it.
