In the above article House stated that  charismatic leadership was a new genre of leadership theory.
Undertake a literature review which discusses:
1. general leadership theory;
2. the development of the concept of charismatic leadership and how it fits in to the general theories on leadership;
3. how this  new genre of leadership theory has been taken up and further developed since 1992 by House and other researchers.

Marks will be awarded for clear and concise discussion of:
 general leadership theory, with reference to the work of acknowledged management theorists e.g. Porter, Adair, Mintzberg, Peters, etc.;
 the concept of charismatic leadership and its place in the general theories on leadership;
 the development of the concept of charismatic leadership since 1992, with reference to the writings of House and other researchers.

Marks will also be awarded for:
 significant use of citations (references) to substantiate the views expressed.
You submitted work should contain:
 comprehensive use of in-text citations to support the views expressed (using the Harvard System of Referencing);
 comprehensive Bibliography (using the Harvard system).
NOTE: marks will be deducted if the Harvard System of Referencing is not used correctly.

NB: It is essential that you demonstrate your understanding of and your ability to critically evaluate the knowledge base through referencing the literature using in-text citations (adopting the Harvard System of Referencing).
