This dissertation will analyse both, Twitter as a marketing tool and how companies provide customers service by using Twitter. It will be examined how different companies in the retailing industry use Twitter.
This dissertation will study how Twitter works and what makes it a successful marketing platform. It will be found out how companies provide customer feedback through Twitter.
Secondary data will be obtained by conducting surveys with Twitter users to find out about their experiences and opinions about Twitter as a customers service tool.
Employers in leading positions in the retailing industry will be interviewed. This will disclose how different companies use Twitter.
Additional data comes from already existing articles about social media/ networks (especially Twitter) and their use for customer service.
The chosen companiesa Twitter pages will be compared and analysed to determine their different customer service strategies.
