There has to be recognition that HIV/AIDS is a workplace issue because it threatens productivity, profitability and the welfare of employees and their families. The workplace, as an integral part of the community, has vital role to play in terms of prevention. Hence the need for the inclusion of an intergraded and systematic way of dealing with wellness in the workplace. This inherently means that Occupational health and occupational medicine needs are pivotal to the success of any HIV/AIDS programme (initiative). These cannot be viewed as standalone programmes (processes)documents.
