Hi, Im doing my first year in bachelor and Im studying (politics and war studies) in the UK, and the module name for this essay is (War and the Modern World).

Full references should be used in the essay. Preferably students should employ standard historical referencing i.e. footnotes (not endnotes). In all cases page numbers must be given. Typically a good format to follow is:

[for Books]
John Smith, The History of War (London: Military Publishing, 2009), 33-6

[for Articles]
John Smith, a?The Battle of Waterloo Reconsidereda, in The Journal of Military History, vol. 89, no. 4 (Winter, 2009), 334-57
