A company that I have been loyal to for several years is AT&T. I have been using AT&T mobile phone services for over 10 years. One of the main reason I like AT&T wireless services is the fact that I can talk on my phone and be on the internet at the same time. Others wireless company do not allow the use of the internet, while talking on the phone.

AT&T Wireless is the leading wireless telecommunications provider in the US market. The US wireless market constitutes over 243M wireless subscribers. This represents a market penetration of 81%. The wireless market sells mobility of voice and data (video-media, download content and internet access). The wireless market is distributed between the following major competitors and distinguishing technology, Verizon Wireless, Sprint-Nextel, CSpire, and T-mobile. Upon the acquisition and merger of legacy AT&T Wireless by Cingular Wireless and the solidification of SBC, BellSouth and Cingular Wireless, the New AT&T mobility business unit now leads in the current market share narrowly over Verizon Wireless. The Master Strategy for AT&T wireless is to be the only telecom provider their customer would ever need by connecting its customers anywhere anyway.

I have been a loyal customer to a?Staplesa? for many years because of their convenience, prices, and speed in delivery service, their rewards system and their line of product choices.

They are the worldas leading Office Products Company. Their current business strategy is to a?Accelerate Growtha?. Their plan is to remain focused on the strengths that are the foundation of their success which are five key priorities:

Accelerate growth in their online business, fully integrate retail and online, improve retail store productivity, restructure their international operations, and return cash to stakeholders. (Staples, Inc., 2012)

The accelerated growth will include expanding its product line beyond office supplies to more readily meet the need of their customers, they will also initiate a multi-year cost savings plan expected to generate annualized pre-tax cost saving of $250 million by 2015. Their strategic plan is to realign their organization around their customers which will put them in a stronger position to drive long term sales and earnings growth. (Staples, Inc., 2012)

Staples strategy is about catering to the needs of their customers and providing them with great customer service, speed, convenience, choice, good price and a reason to come back with their rewards program and their hassle free a?Easya? promotion program. (Marks, 2012) (Staples, Inc., 2012)

40% of Staples revenue is generated from their office supplieras online sales and 60% of total sales are generated through business-to-business sales. (Staples, Inc., 2012)

Suggest a modification that company should make to its strategy and how it may impact the success of the company.

Their strategy seems to be working well as is however, my suggested modification to their strategy is to find ways to increase customer quarterly cash-back rewards. It would be a customer incentive to purchase more which would produce greater profits for the company.
