The pape has to include: creating a clear, argumentative thesis statement, supporting it with specific examples and details, and using MLA format to incorporate material from secondary sources by summarizing, paraphrasing, and directly quoting. Defending your position on an issue by using outside source material to back up your claim following the classical / traditional organizational pattern of an argumentative essay.

****1.The essay will be typed, double-spaced, size 12 point font, Times New Roman, and formatted according to MLA style guidelines.
2.Correct in-text documentation (I will check to see if each source used in the essay matches a source on your works cited page.)
3.The length of the essay will be a minimum of 650 words.
4.A minimum of 3 credible secondary sources must be used.
5.Include a Works Cited page.
*****Five points will be added to your final exam research paper grade for including a graphic that illustrates your topic. The graphic cannot be one found in the textbook–look elsewhere! Look in newspaper editorials, cartoons, online images, etc. Remember, the graphic must tie in to the argument somehow!!! You must also explain why the image is an appropriate representation of the argument. There is no word limit to the explanation.*****
