1. Aristotle states that any study of virtue must deal with pleasure and pains (38). What is Aristotles notion of the relationship between pleasure and virtue? Is Aristotles theory open to the objection that if happiness is pursued for pleasure, then it is not an end in itself? Consider especially what Aristotle says in Book X (Chapters 1 to 6).
