Assignment 1: Individual Essay, 2500 words
Critically evaluate the relevance of cultural theories to the study of International HRM.
The essay should incorporate the following:
1. Comparison and critical evaluation of cultural theories.
2. Application of cultural theories to aspects of international HRM covered in the module (for example, international labour markets, workplace organisation, employee relations and multinational companies).
3. Consideration of the extent to which cultural differences can influence work and the management of human resources.

A minimum of two.
Should the theories relate to organisational culture as well as national culture?
Both have an impact on the management of human resources and so if you are aiming to get a better than average mark you should comment on two relating to national culture and at least one relating to organisational culture.
