You are the counter fraud specialist for a large private sector organisation. You have been asked, for part of an away day your line manager is attending, to produce a document of 3,000 words for the Director of Counter Fraud Services identifying a specific type of fraud and/or corruption in a private or public sector organisation along with 6 to 12 MS PowerPoint slides. You have been asked to critically evaluate the strategies being used to tackle it, contrast them with other comparable organisations from BOTH the public and private sectors and make recommendations to enhance the overall strategy. You have also been asked to produce as part of this document a MS PowerPoint presentation slide show summarising this paper for him to use at the away day of between 6 and 12 slides. The Director of Counter Fraud Services should on reading your report be able to present the ohps.
In undertaking this assignment you should present the report in an appropriate a?reporta style, but also ensure all sources are properly referenced. The a?reporta style can replicate any commonly used format used by organisations, consultants etc.

Assessment criteria:
You will be expected to write a short report in this assignment. In doing so, you will need to demonstrate three specific areas of knowledge and critical analysis. First you will need to critically analyse different private and public sector strategies to counter fraud and corruption and to understand the theoretical basis. Second, you will need to outline and critically assess arrangements to counter fraud and corruption in a private and public sector organisation(s). Finally you should also systematically evaluate action taken in the private and public sectors to counter fraud and corruption making judgements on the most effective for specific circumstances and recommendations for improvement. You should also demonstrate the ability to put together a MS PowerPoint slide show in the number available that reflects the report and which would be usable.

Assignments must be coherently structured and argued, demonstrating wide reading and research, with all supporting evidence correctly referenced in the text and included in a reference list.
