-Outline the theoretical position of the key figures in the area you are investigating and critically examine their position

-Cite authorities and reference their work to support the points you are emphasising

-Which is a summary the main points in the essay

-Re-state the key arguments

-State what you have learned from investigating the topic

-The question I will be asking here is, does the essay have any meaningful content?

-There must be a balance between description and analysis  if it is too descriptive you will be losing marks

-You cannot take statements at face value

-You must compare and contrast different approaches to the topic to demonstrate knowledge and understanding
