Urrent Events and Their Effect on Media

Choose a TV network, magazine, or publishing group and research and discuss the impact of current events on that network/magazine/group as an advertising medium. Some current events that might be considered are the upcoming elections, including primaries and caucuses, the economy, the labor situation, the Olympics, technology, ecological considerations, and any others you uncover. These might, for example, impact TV programming (which in turn drives audiences, which drive advertising, which drives revenue), the availability of airtime or space to be sold and the pricing of that air or space, the quality of the media (therefore the advertisers), the amount of money advertisers spend on media, and on what they choose to spend it.
