Refer to the Overview of Assignments 1-5. Assume that you are required to develop a curriculum with a rationale for a specific group of students.
Write a 6-7 page paper in which you:
1. Analyze at least five significant characteristics (or needs) of a targeted group of students in your current or future educational setting.
2. Propose a curriculum with at least three courses or concentrations for this specific group of students (or trainees), providing a rationale for each course.
3. Develop a curriculum outline for one course that covers at least one quarter of nine to 11 weeks.
4. Develop a curriculum matrix (table with rows and columns) that shows how the curriculum content will be assessed during (formative) or after (summative) instruction.
5. Provide at least two different examples of assessment instruments you have used in your work environment or developed in a previous class, explaining how they are used and providing at least two reasons for their use. (Note: If you have not developed two instruments previously, develop or find two for this assignment. Put the examples of the Assessment in the Appendix. Cite the source of the instrument if it is not yours.)
6. Assess at least two benefits of and two drawbacks to creating your own assessment instruments.
7. Provide at least three relevant, peer-reviewed references to support your views.
